My Story
I was drawn into becoming a celebrant through a genuine love of people and their stories. Every chapter of life deserves to be honoured, whether it’s welcoming a new baby, celebrating a couple’s commitment, renewing vows, or saying goodbye with dignity and love.
My journey began in the 1980s when I qualified as a nurse, a role that taught me the value of listening with empathy, and being fully present. Those skills remain at the heart of my celebrant work today.
Alongside celebrancy, I am an experienced public speaker. I regularly lecture adults at university level and teach others how to present with clarity, confidence, and authenticity.
Across all ceremonies, I bring warmth, calm, and a natural ability to put people at ease. I’m passionate about storytelling and structure, shaping each ceremony into something that feels true to the people at its centre.
Creativity is key to my approach, but so is genuine connection. I’m friendly, open, and endlessly interested in people, their journeys, their relationships, their joys and their challenges. It matters to me that every ceremony I create is individual and crafted with sensitivity and accuracy.
Whether honouring a life well lived, celebrating love, or marking a meaningful milestone, I am committed to creating ceremonies that feel personal, heartfelt, and beautifully told.
